The Mariners at First Presbyterian Church is a Christian social and service organization comprised of both single and married "mates". The Mariners meet once a month, usually third Sundays, at 18 bells (6:00 PM) for a pot-luck meal in the "galley" and planned activities. In the past, these have included informative programs, a fall hayrack ride and cookout, a February "Sweetheart Dinner", "Hanging of the Seaweed" (preparing the church for Advent and Christmas) and other service related projects considered "cargo" for the spiritual journey with Christ at the helm of their ship!
Presby Quilters are folks gather for fellowship over quilt tops to help stitch and raise funds for various church projects and ministries every Sunday afternoon at 2:00 and Tuesday morning at 9:00.
The Card Ladies gather almost every Friday at the home of John and Jane Martin to make beautiful works of art for personal and church use.
